Christmas in July at Walt Disney World Resort! Time to start planning!

This enchanting, special ticketed event will also allow guests to meet some of their favorite Disney Characters decked out in their holiday best. Special character experiences have also been known to take place during the party, including Jack Skellington dressed as the one-and-only Sandy Claws.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is another holiday tradition not to be missed. The 11 World Showcase nations will proudly display their country’s magical decorations, and of course they will be serving up their delectable food at the expanded Holiday Kitchens. Guests will also enjoy live musical productions featuring costumed performers that will bring time-honored holiday traditions to life. “Candlelight Processional” is another joyous event that takes place in Epcot. Join celebrity narrators, such as Neil Patrick Harris and Whoopi Goldberg, as they tell the Christmas story accompanied by an amazing orchestra and spectacular choir.

This year guests will not want to miss the brand-new holiday entertainment and decorations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. From Discovery Island to Pandora – The World of Avatar, festive holiday lights and celebrations will transform every land into an extra magical location. In DinoLand, U.S.A., you won’t want to miss rockin’ around Truck-O-Saurus at the Holiday Hoopla Dance Party with Chip ‘n Dale!

And don’t forget the popular “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” that is returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios November 8, 2019. The holiday spectacular will run through January 5, 2020.

Disney Skyliner Takes Flight on Sept 29, 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort

On September 29, Disney Skyliner gondolas will take flight and officially begin transporting guests around Walt Disney World Resort.

As many of you have seen, this state-of-the-art transportation system offers a new way to experience the resort with amazing views only available from the sky.  Disney Skyliner connects Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four resort hotels- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and the new Disney’s Riviera Resort scheduled to open in December 2019.

Some Disney Skyliner cabins feature graphics based on Disney films, attractions and characters. We previously featured a few of the character cabins on the Disney Parks Blog, including those with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and Chip & Dale. Other Disney stories taking flight with guests include:

A Disney Villain you love to hate will be hosting her own festive and fabulous event during this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park!

You can now book the all the perfect place to mix and mingle with Cruella de Vil and be part of her circle of puppies, aka friends! Enjoy a fun, festive atmosphere, with themed background music and décor, and a great view of Town Square.

Beginning at 9:30 p.m., this new and special experience will allow you to pop in and out at your leisure and indulge in savory hors d’oeuvres with a taste from the Witches Cauldron—a kettle of gooey and creamy spinach dip with ciabatta crostini, assorted Halloween flatbreads and more! Disney Cruise and a Ginger Bread House!

A few days ago we got off a Merry Time Christmas Cruise.  We spent Thanksgiving on Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.  Needless to say, I am planning a new tradition that includes Sun, Islands and NOT COOKING on Thanksgiving!

We sailed on the Disney Dream and as soon as you entered the lobby you could SMELL the Gingerbread house!  It was incredible!  We had a blast!  It was the perfect way to kick off the holiday season!  I cannot recommend it enough!

Disney Parks Blog has posted about a contest between Disney’s 4 ships.  Each has designed a house.  You can vote for your favorite!

Good Morning America Visits Every Disney Resort Next Week for Mickey’s Birthday and #ShareYourEars

It’s Mickey’s Worldwide Birthday Bash! Ginger Zee is bringing a Disney super-fan on the adventure of a lifetime as “Good Morning America” surprises viewers from a different Disney resort around the world each day, from November 12-16!

Along the way, they will share photos of themselves with Mickey ears from spectacular locations within the parks for #ShareYourEars – Disney’s campaign to donate $5, up to a total of $2 million, to Make-A-Wish for every public photo posted showing off Mickey Mouse ears on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #ShareYourEars.

They will also celebrate 90 years of Mickey Mouse as they count down to his big November 18th birthday. Throughout this journey, Ginger and the gang will experience what’s new and unique at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disney Resort.

Join Good Morning America 7-9 a.m. each day from November 12-16 on ABC as we celebrate 90 years of Mickey Mouse with Disney Parks and #ShareYourEars!
