Disney Cruise Line Takes #1 Spots in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Best Cruise Line Rankings for the Seventh Year in a Row

For the seventh year in a row, Disney Cruise Line has earned number one spots in the Best Cruise Lines for Families and Best Cruise Lines in the Caribbean categories of the U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Best Cruise Line rankings.

These annual rankings celebrate the very best of the best and recognize how our fantastic teams continue to outdo themselves each and every year. In the words of our Disney Cruise Line President Jeff Vahle, “The energy and enthusiasm our Crew Members bring to their roles is the driving force behind why Disney is such a trusted name in cruising.”

U.S. News & World Report rates more than 150 cruise ships based on an analysis of expert and user opinions that factor in traveler type, overall cruise ship quality, reputation in the industry, types of itineraries, approval ratings and more.

There is so much passion and planning that goes into creating the perfect ocean-going vacation for each member of the family, but what is the best thing about a Disney cruise for you? Foodie Guide to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2019 at Magic Kingdom Park

Time to get your seasonal stretchy pants out, because holiday snacks are finally here at Magic Kingdom Park! That’s right, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts THIS WEEK and I, personally, am SO EXCITED! This year’s party features an array of sweet and savory bites that will keep you merry and bright all season long. If you’re not familiar, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party occurs on select nights throughout November and December and features exclusive food and beverage offerings, special entertainment and character greetings, festive dance parties, complimentary holiday cookies throughout the park, and more. This year’s party begins on November 8, and this Foodie Guide contains all of the delicious info you need to know!

And of course, you can always enhance your festive experience with two special add-ons this year: Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party (with reserved viewing for the holiday parade) and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party (with either Tomorrowland Terrace or Plaza Garden fireworks viewing). Both of these special events offer wonderful buffets of holiday eats and treats as well as a place to hang out, relax, and watch your favorite holiday time entertainment. New Mid-Day Magic Ticket Invites You to Enjoy an Afternoon and Evening of Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park Fun After 12 p.m.

With the Aug. 29 debut of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the 24th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival leading the way, you’ll find plenty of excitement all around Walt Disney World Resort this fall. The new Mid-Day Magic Ticket, available starting today, is a great value for families to take in the unsurpassed fun across our four theme parks.

Mid-Day Magic Tickets are valid for admission after 12 p.m. and were designed with your flexibility in mind, with timing that helps meet your needs – like, say, a couple more hours of shut-eye, or maybe a leisurely brunch. Mid-Day Magic Tickets may be used at any of the four theme parks, allowing you to catch a parade, enjoy a meal, experience favorite attractions, and then get ready for wondrous nighttime shows.

The fall and winter months will be a fantastic time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. You can climb aboard the fastest ship in the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You can taste their way around World Showcase during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Or you can enjoy the resort as it transitions into a winter wonderland in November and December, with holiday décor and festivities at all four theme parks.

The 2-, 3- and 4-Day Mid-Day Magic Tickets* are available for use on or before Dec. 15, 2019:

  • Two-day ticket from $88 a day, plus tax (from $176 total, plus tax)
  • Three-day ticket from $84 a day, plus tax (from $252 total, plus tax)
  • Four-day ticket from $79 a day, plus tax (from $316 total, plus tax)

Tickets are valid for one theme park per day. Prices are for ages 10 and older. The price varies based on selected start date. Lower prices may apply on certain dates. The two-day ticket expires four days after the selected start date. The three-day ticket expires five days after the selected start date. The four-day ticket expires seven days after the selected start date.

We are so excited to share with you that Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party is returning this year to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Reservations start today!

The festive and joyous experience will take place from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (beyond the party’s midnight end time!) at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park.

You and your party can raise a glass to the spirit of the seasons as you mingle in and out of this holly, jolly party to enjoy an assortment of themed food and beverage offerings, including beer and wine in a fun, festive atmosphere complete with a beautiful view of Town Square, upbeat holiday hits, and décor. The evening will also feature entertainment by the one and only Tony himself.

If you are a foodie, you will be excited to indulge in savory hors d’oeuvres including a selection of artisanal meats and cheeses as well as Tony’s famous meatballs and more! And if you’re wanting to satisfy that sweet tooth, a variety of desserts will also be available. Yum!

Perhaps one of the most beloved events of the season is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park. The magical party will begin on November 8 and run through December 22, 2019, on select nights. Brand new this year is Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show. The holiday nighttime spectacular will include some of your favorite seasonal songs such as “Joy to the World,” “Deck the Halls” and even “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” Make new memories with your family as you reminisce about the holidays of the past all while enjoying this festive event, hosted by Minnie Mouse.

This enchanting, special ticketed event will also allow guests to meet some of their favorite Disney Characters decked out in their holiday best. Special character experiences have also been known to take place during the party, including Jack Skellington dressed as the one-and-only Sandy Claws.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is another holiday tradition not to be missed. The 11 World Showcase nations will proudly display their country’s magical decorations, and of course they will be serving up their delectable food at the expanded Holiday Kitchens. Guests will also enjoy live musical productions featuring costumed performers that will bring time-honored holiday traditions to life. “Candlelight Processional” is another joyous event that takes place in Epcot.
